Why I am the right choice for mayor and asking for your vote on or before April 1
Lifelong resident & veteran
I’m a lifelong resident of our community, though I did leave home once — at 19 years old — to serve my country in the U.S. Army. My time in the military changed me, as it did many others, and further cemented my deep commitment to the service of others.
Small business owner
As a small business owner, I know firsthand the value of hard work. I have enjoyed serving the people of Normal through Vitesse Cycle Shop and Often Running for over 40 years.
Leader & partner
I believe strong partnerships are key to supporting our community’s continued success. That is why I also serve alongside leaders on the Amtrak Board of Directors, and in leadership with the Illinois Municipal League and US Conference of Mayors. Through these strong partnerships, I’ve played a key role in attracting over one hundred million dollars in state and federal funding for community projects. Under my leadership, Normal has also attracted billions of dollars in investment and created over 10,000 local jobs.

Public Services
Public services are non-partisan. We shouldn’t play politics with essential public services such as road work, waste pick up, snow removal, and clean water.
Economic Development
We should continue to build on our town’s strengths to attract new businesses and take advantage of exciting opportunities made possible by the presence of Rivian, Ferrero, State Farm, ISU, and more!
Housing
Normal needs strong, proactive leadership to address our housing crisis. This isn’t just about keeping up with growth — it’s about making sure our community remains welcoming, vibrant, and livable for all Normalites.
Sustainability
Normal needs community-wide sustainability — a town that stewards all resources responsibly so we will continue to thrive and grow for generations.

We are better prepared in times of uncertainty when we have access to timely and accurate information.
